Best lesson from a Disney movie
This is an underrated movie
This is a grossly underrated movie.
Can I take a minute to rant? Good. Cuz I’m gonna.
I FLOVE this movie. And I HATE all the stupid hatred it gets. For a long time the buzz was “finally a black princess yay!” and now everyone is like “Fuck this movie, first black princess and she spends the whole movie a frog.”
You know what? Fuck that. Because Ariel spent a good majority of the movie not talking. Mulan spent the majority of the move pretending to be a man. Aurora and Snow White? Asleep (Hardly in the movie at all). They’re all just plot devices, not designed to take away from the traits of the women.
And you know what else? Unlike some of the other princesses, Tiana is in control of her destiny every step of the way. When she turns into the frog does she lose hope and need rescuing? Hell naw. She busts Naveen over the head and gets the job done. She is consistently responsible and capable even after having her dreams crushed and turning into a freaking frog.
So don’t tell me that Tiana is “less than” just because she gets turned into a frog. She’s still one of the most hardworking, badass, and capable chicks in animated history and I love her like crazy cakes.
THIS this is why I love this movie. I really do believe she has officially become my fav Princess.
IF YOUR HEART DIDN’T SHATTER INTO A MILLION FRAGMENTS WHEN THAT LAST LINE WAS SAID YOU ARE NOT HUMAN.
I watched this the other week and i started crying my eyes out.
See. It’s not fair. They took Goofy, who even in GOOF TROOP was still just overly silly and meant for splapstick, and they give Goofy real world fatherhood problems. And to this DAY I will still mist up for this scene.
movies not to watch when you have dad issues #309
It’s because Goofy lost his wife, so Max is all he has left, but Max probably is growing sick of his goofy father smothering him all the time, and it’s because Goofy doesn’t want to loose Max too and excuse me while I cry

Marking the 450th Anniversary of William Shakespeare’s Birth
For more photos from the sites of William’s Shakespeare life, explore the Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Globe Theater and Shakespeare’s Grave location pages.
Every year at the end of April, a celebration of the life and works of the great playwright William Shakespeare takes place in the market town of Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Shakespeare was born there in 1564 and cultural celebrations in Stratford’s streets, with entertainers, street performers and traditional Morris dancers, go back hundreds of years.
From his plays to his sonnets, Shakespeare’s extensive works have produced a legacy of characters, ideas, histories and, of course, words—it is thought he contributed more than 2,000 to the English language. His plays are a staple on many school curriculums, and continue to be reinterpreted on stage, rewritten in fiction and retold on screen.
The man himself is still very much a mystery and few details exist about his private life. Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway with whom he bore three children, before relocating to London to pursue his acting and writing career. He died at the age of 52 on April 23, 1616—a date which fell very near to his birthday in the same month (the exact date is unknown).
This year marks the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare’s birth and, on Saturday, a special procession will take place in Stratford, ending with celebrants laying flowers on Shakespeare’s grave in the Holy Trinity Church. The world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company will also host a full program of shows.
